Bandit Run shows up in 10 iconic Hollywood cars article. Bandit Runners Donny and Shain driving Shains black 1979 Trans Am during the 2007 Bandit Run, their picture just showed up in the article "10 Iconic Holllywood Cars article by Daniel Bukszpan | CNBC.

The Bandit Run 2013 is heading west to Mount Rushmore and Coors Plant in Golden Colorado. To celebrate we have 2 new posters available to purchase. Have a look at the pictures and click on the photos to buy one or both. The poster measures 20 X 24 and can be trimmed to 18 X 24. It is $25 which includes shipping in a poster tube. Big week for Smokey and the Bandit on TV, first on the Speed channel new show "R U Faster than a Redneck" and then on the Oscars 2013 with a small clip of the 77 Trans Am and Hal Needham Oscar award.

This past December, during a fancy all-duded-up Governors Awards ceremony at the Ray Dolby Ballroom in Los Angeles, Hal Needham, the legendary stuntman and director of Smokey and the Bandit and The Cannonball Run, stepped up to the podium to claim his honorary Oscar. The daredevil, square-jawed veteran of hair-raising stunts in more than 300 feature films—in which he broke 56 bones, twice broke his back, fractured a collarbone, punctured a lung and lost several teeth... A must read for the Hal Needham and Smokey and the Bandit Fan !!

I was the original owner. I bought it in Jan'77. I drove the hell out of it. Unfortunately, I was only 19 when I bought it and didn't realize that it was (or would be) an iconic car. I kept it exactly 2 years and sold it because I wanted the new Mazda RX-7 which came out in 1979. That was a lemon car, but that that's another story. I just heard an interview with Dax Shepard on the Cowhead Show in Tampa Florida. Dax said he was a huge Burt Reynolds fan and if you liked Smokey and the Bandit or Cannonball run you would like his new movie "Hit and Run"
