Burt Builds a Bandit Trans AM

Burt Reynolds joins DIY Network to recreate the Trans Am made famous in Smokey and the Bandit.

Burt Reynolds teamed up with the DIY (Do it yourself) network and Year One back in 2007 to re-build the famous 1977 Trans Am that he drove in Smokey and the Bandit.  Taking a classic Pontiac and transforming it into a modern muscle car with all the latest and greatest that you would expect in a new car.  Disc brakes, three different engine sizes, and audio entertainment system just to name a few.  The car was featured in The Fast and the Furious 2009 movie.  Year One gave the first one to Burt Reynolds, shown in the photos below.  Have a look at 5 episodes that aired on the DIY network.
